Throughout history, artists have been drawn and sculpted beautiful works, where the central theme is the children. Children playing as the "Children climbing a tree" by Francisco de Goya or the "Vase with Children" by Josep Reynes, are just a sample of the innocence of the early years.
On this occasion, the architect, painter and sculptor Luis Guillermo Vallejo Vargas, portrays the children in a different light. Bust of Indigenous Girl is a sculpture inspired by the Embera girls and that the artist could see during the "Great Expedition Huma-na", a project of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, where a diverse group of research workers and artists visited indigenous communities that coexist in the colombian territory.
